April 2013: Larry Hunter & Peggie Collins
Larry Hunter
For the past 30 years I have worked as a freelance commercial artist. I attended the Vancouver School of Art (now Emily Carr) in the early 70's and set up my first studio in 1981 specializing in airbrush illustration. In recent years, I've enjoyed painting over twenty public art murals throughout BC and Alberta and occassionally finding time to sit down and have some fun with acrylics on canvas. I don't paint in any one particular style because I enjoy creating art of all kinds. I do have a preference for all things "mid-century"( which gives my work a modern/retro look) and a fondness for the colour blue!

Peggie Collins
Peggie Collins has been painting in acrylics now for 4 years. Born and raised in Vancouver she moved to Naramata in 1990 and in 2012 to Penticton. She has been creative all her life in a variety of mediums, she has taught many workshops to adults and children and is grateful now to be able to do what she has been wanting to do for many years. Her mother's words of encouragement have inspired her to use to her talents. She loves bright vibrant colors and finds that is what determines her love for her own paintings and what others enjoy about them as well.
